Slightly curved wooden panel, original kovcheg (recessed panel).

The icon is a specific type of the Christ Pantocrator image, often with an open book to symbolize teaching, as opposed to holding a closed book like a traditional Pantocrator. On the two pages of the Gospel, in Slavonic Russian, is a verse from Saint Matthew 11:28 : “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest”. To the bottom of the icon we read the Russian title “Господь Вседержитель” which translates to “Lord Almighty” or “Christ Pantocrator”.
Overall condition: GOOD for its age.
Few issues observed: Central vertical crack ; Surface wear to gilding (expected); minor abrasion to border
