Nancy de Scaffa, also known as the Lebanese beauty queen, was born in Beirut. She gained recognition for her beauty and public persona, which led to her prominence as a figure in Lebanese society. In 1949, she died in a car accident in Istanbul. The accident occurred while she was traveling with Bülent Cimcoz. In her early life, Scaffa had connections to key figures in the Middle East. She signed her name beneath Saliba’s and probably had plans to compete in Miss Universe prior to her tragic death. (This piece was made in 1940)
